TFNs are protected information under the Taxation Administration Act 1953 (Cth) and the Privacy (Tax File Number) Rule. Where documents are processed by the Service, TFNs are identified and redacted using automated validation methods, and are handled, stored and disposed of in accordance with applicable law.
Personal information is stored on secure infrastructure located in Australia. We maintain physical, technical and administrative safeguards designed to protect information against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No information is transferred or stored offshore without disclosure to you.
We may disclose personal information to service providers who assist us in operating the Service (under confidentiality obligations), and where required or authorised by law. We do not sell personal information.
You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted or de-identified.
